Our next featured artist Joe Cardella is an internationally acclaimed mail artist who’s publication Art-Life is featured in museums, archives and collections throughout the world. The publication started out as a four page lament of the state of the artist community in Santa Barbra and ended up with a 25 year history with no missed deadlines. He and his team hand made custom limited edition monthly magazines for 25 years from 1981-2006. They all contained hand made limited edition artist works signed by the individual artists submitting artwork. The publications in themselves are works of art, no two being the same.

Through serendipity I found out that he would be part of Bad Exhibition when I showed Sophia Kidd, curator, a piece of my own mail art. I am excited to see what the exhibit entails with its Allstar line up of California and Chinese artists.
