The first thing I notice is there’s no food. As if a message is tattooed in the Art City sky, there will be no free lunches. Next thing I notice is lithoballo starting real late, people will show up & have to wait around for the meeting to start; while two teams of sculptors and painters, wood and metal workers rage around the yard’s first ring road drinking beer, throwing stones to outdo one another, shrugging off a day’s ground dust.
Six agenda items included Gallery, Social Media, Calender of Events, Permaculture and Sustainability, Creative Capital Development and Promotion.
Then it started, we came together on the patio outside Monica’s office. Art City citizens commenced meeting at approximately 6:30 pm, and spoke with one another for an hour and fifteen minutes, concluding at 8:45 pm.
Avant Garden permaculturist, Art City artist Lynn Okun Facetimed in from the Bay Area.
Each Art Citizen in attendance introduced themselves and briefly described their role at Art City and what their current goals are. It was agreed we would try and keep personal descriptions related to the overall aims of Art City.
Meeting minutes were kept by Jason Brock. Discussion, but not much counter-discussion was had, in the interest of time. The progress of all discussed items will be reported at the next meeting, before new items are introduced. Next Meeting: Jul 9, 2017, after the lithoballo game, at Art City.
