Two giant stones shaped naturally as pestles are delivered to Rex and Dubbers in Ventura, California.

Art City III is just a few doors down from Art City I on Rex & Dubbers off Olive by the Vons Center in West Ventura, California. The new yard is located on a corner piece of land Paul Lindhard, founder of Art City, has been wishing to use for nearly eight years now.  Linhard waited two years to get the bigger of the two main stones (part of the public art installation ‘Dos Mutates’). It is a piece of imperial blue granite he obtained from San Marcos, Texas. The other, slightly smaller stone, is a beautiful sample of academy black granite from north of Fresno, California.

While Art City III is destined to be a sculpture park cultivated as an edible garden, Dos Mutates, the stone installation, will be transfered eventurally to Mission Lawn between China Alley and Ventura’s County Museum.

Here’s the video about day one.
