Let’s Make It Happen! For Art City Artist in Residence, G. Ramon Byrne

SAVE THIS DATE! MAY 5, 2011

FOR THE FIRST PUBLIC PRESENTATION OF
“COMPOSED IN STONE – An Instrumental Event

IN VENTURA, CA, ON MAY 5, 2011 at the Museum of Ventura County, Stone Sculptor G. Ramon Byrne, will reveal his masterfully carved life-sized, eight piece ensemble of whimsical, musical instruments.
Over the past five years Ramon has worked with passionate determination to create this stone ensemble.  Even though the project was neither commissioned nor funded…he dedicated his time and talent, with radical trust in his inner vision. Now is the time for the rest of us to support Ramon’s vision and help him launch himself, and this work as the international sensations they are destined to be.

In order for Ramon to be able to share these creations with the public he needs your financial assistance.

It has taken a ‘village’ to plan this event, and we, as a village, would be honored to add YOU as one of The Village People supporters who are working to make this gala a success. We need to finish paying the blacksmith who is creating the bases for these instruments, and we need to finance the event itself!

Please donate as generously as you can.

We are offering exciting personal rewards for your donation.… as well the reward of knowing that you personally helped a dedicated artist & friend to realize his dream!

Log on to Ramon’s website www.gramonbyrne.com and
http://cts.vresp.com/c/?ellejesplacefreehear/2b8f326d15/32f626af32/c5a1540799 to make your generous donation.
Thank you…. and save the date… we’ll see you there!

About Fluxus a Go-Go

Fluxus a Go-Go a unique monthly event gratefully dedicated to outsider art and all genres of electronic music and all music in general. It is held at the Outlaw Conduit Gallery Pod which is in the beautiful sculpture gardens of the original Art City in Ventura, Ca.

197 Dubbers Street

The art is inside the Outlaw Conduit gallery pod and the music is outside under the stars.

Fluxus is a 21 and older event, with a 100 person capacity due to the small size of the gallery. Be sure to get there early, because once we reach capacity, we won’t be able to let any else in until people leave for the night. Doors open at 8:30 pm – Bands start around 9:00 – DJ’s start at 11:00 – Gate closes at 11:30 – Event ends around 1:00am.

Parking is very limited, so we ask if you choose to drive, and park in the surrounding neighborhood, please be quite and respectful to our neighbors. Art City is right next to the bike path so we do encourage people to ride their bikes or walk when possible, and you will be able to park your bicycles inside the gates of Art City.

This is an event for artists, art lovers, and fans of modern music. After the bands perform, fans of electronic music can shake their bones to Dj’s in an open air environment until closing. Be sure to dress for outdoors, it can get a bit chilly, and costumes are always welcome if you want to let your freak flag fly.

In the event of rain bring umbrellas and your warmest clothes and we will have the music and dancing under an inclosed area to keep you dry.

So come see the art, hear the bands, watch the videos, dance, and have some fun at
